Last night we went to a New Year's gathering with great food, music and friends...all the necessities for a memorable evening. This party was unique in that our host asked us what we were letting go of from the last year to make room for the new. That idea has stuck with me for the past day...making room for the new. Making room for a healthier me, a more organized home, deeper relationships, a more rewarding life. I pledge in the year of 2013 to let go of guilt, shame and the other nasty part of the trio, fear. I want to welcome acceptance, trust and joy!! How about you what do you want to show the exit door and what do you want to welcome with open arms (hard to not think of the Journey song)?
One of my goals besides life work is to continue challenging myself professionally through this blog and other venues. Starting next week, I will be posting two consistent days of blogs.
Techie Tuesdays will feature some tools that can make your life easier and more interesting. It might be an online bookmarking website, a literacy website for teachers or parents or a way to make your computer work faster.
Family Fridays will be chock full of books...featuring those that our family of diversified readers might be enjoying or some that have floated into my life that bear mentioning. There may be a picture book, a memoir, a teenage angst novel, or a drool-provoking cookbook. Stop by to see or better yet, add Diary of a Displaced Librarian to your Reader of choice or follow the blog via email off to the right on this posting.
I will continue to be my random self and post miscellaneous blogs as my heart and time allowances lead me. Through the sharing of my passion of literature and technology, I dream of creating a landing pad for folks to gather resources to make their lives more enjoyable.
May peace, love and joy find a place within you in 2013,
